internet/data speed and device will always influence maximum streaming quality * Minimum 'High Res' streaming qualities compared If others can implement this, I do not understand why BlueOS is not incorporating this?Ĭould you please advise what is withholding BlueSound? Or, if mine and many other users (repetitive) requests are able to convince Bluesound, when can we expect to be sure BlueOS will play Hi-Res with zero loss in sound quality?īelow examples from JRiver Media Center © and Euphony Stylus OS © It only does take up a tiny bit of interface space. This is a very common feature on other players I am currently using. Why not a simple way, without leaving the main Now Playing screen and see live that the highest quality sample rate and bit depth is being played? Also without knowing, users can limit and reduce the offered quality depending devices and connection quality. In 2021 streaming services offer audio files with greater than CD quality (see minimum stream rate table below *) but that's not always what you get. Apparently users like to sit back and listen, and be sure of the highest quality sample rate and bit depth when different tracks are playing. I noticed the sample rate and bit depth feature has been asked for many times on this forum for a couple years now. Today when using BlueOS the user has to laboriously navigate for each individual track to know sample rate and bit depth, over and over again. If high res music up to 24bit/192Hz is playing why hiding this information in a multitude of clicks under Technical info? Indeed BlueOS CAN stream lossless wireless and through ethernet, but how to be sure about zero loss in sound quality from the Now Playing screen?īluOs is great for playing lossless files. Quote from : "Using advanced technologies, BluOS can wirelessly transmit lossless music up to 24-bit/192kHz at lightning-fast speeds with no lag and zero loss in sound quality" HIGH-RES AUDIO any audio file with greater than CD quality
